Bangladeshi Hilsa Fish Curry

- 500g Hilsa fish, cleaned and cut into pieces

- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 cup mustard oil
- Salt to taste

- Heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same oil, add the sliced onions and green chilies. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
- Pour in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add the fried fish pieces and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
